"Love isn't about what we did yesterday; it's about what we do today and tomorrow and the day after."
Grace Lee Boggs (1915–2015), born Yu Ping, meaning “Jade Peace,” was a Chinese American philosopher, writer, and activist whose revolutionary vision helped transform understandings of justice and community. A prominent political and community organizer in Detroit, Boggs believed that true revolution begins not only in systems but in the human spirit itself. Through decades of grassroots activism, she advocated for civil rights, labor struggles, feminist thought, and environmental justice, inspiring generations to reimagine what progress could mean. In her final book, The Next American Revolution: Sustainable Activism for the 21st Century (2011), she offered a call for compassionate, sustainable, and community-driven change.
